Speed workout today, coach had me do something different than the rest of the team to help try and bring me back into good condition. My workout was 3x1600m with a goal pace of 5:40 to 5:45. I screwed up the pacing on the first set and ran the first three laps as if I was trying to hit a 4:45 pace, I realized my mistake the last lap and slowed my pace down a little. I came across the line at 5:13. After that my coach told me to aim for 5:30. My I was still a little fast on my second mile coming across at 5:21. My last mile was finally at the adjusted pace coming across at 5:31. Throughout the workout I felt good and didn't feel anything in my calf until the very end. All in all it was a good day.
