| Location: West Jordan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jan 16, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Highschool Champ Running Accomplishments: I have been apart of Lehi's Cross Country and Track teams for four years. I was a member of the varsity team when we took 3rd at the Utah 5A State Championship. In that race I took 28 with a time of 16:18. My PR was at NXR Southwest where I took 47th place with a 15:43. During my junior track season I ran the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m. At the State Championships I ran the 800 leg of Lehi's Medley Relay and helped break the school record, we finished 6th with a time of 3:35.97. In my senior track season I qualified for state, and the Arcadia Invitational in the 3200m. I finished the season with a PR in the 1600m as a 4:24.8, and a 9:32.58 in the 3200m. I have also competed in the AF Canyon half marathon placing 7th with a time of 1:16:55. Short-Term Running Goals: I would like to get my 5k time closer to 15:00 maybe even sub 15:00, and an 8k around 25:00. Long-Term Running Goals: I would mostly like to keep on improving. I would like to run at least one marathon, and race a triathalon. Personal: I ran for Lehi High School. I was the distance team captain for the track team. I'm eighteen years old. | Bit of a speed workout today had 12x 1 min. pick-ups at mile pace w/ 1 min. or recovery pace in between each pick-up. To throw a little spice into the run on each pick-up a predetermined guy would do a quick surge at a random time and the rest of the group would have to not let the runner get away.
After we finished our distance at around a 7:10 average pace.

| Pre-meet workout today, I'll admit I was a little out of it today, I was unusually tired and just felt dizzy so I cut my miles short. I maintainted a 7:06 mile average for what I did run.

| Had the Distance Challenge today ran the 1600m and the 3200m
With the mile I was feeling preety good, I ran in the second heat (it went fastest to slowest) which was a rather large heat. I felt boxed in and often had to run on the far outside of the track, when I finished I still felt fine which told me that my kick wasn't quite up to my usual standards. I still got a PR with a 4:33.29 but I know that I can do better.
In the two mile I ran in the fast heat, I was surprisingly able to keep up with the leaders for the first mile until they started to break away. The race felt really good, the first mile felt like I was just on a distance run yet we still clocked in at around a 4:55 mile split. I went into the last lap in 5th place but had a killer kick which landed me in 3rd place behind Josh Ward, and Logan Mackay, both from Davis.
Throughout the day will all of my warm-ups and cool downs I managed to complete all of my miles.

| Easy recovery run today, my legs are still super sore from yesterday, I probably need to do a better job at stretching, little slower on the pace with around a 7:30 mile average.
