| Location: West Jordan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jan 16, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Highschool Champ Running Accomplishments: I have been apart of Lehi's Cross Country and Track teams for four years. I was a member of the varsity team when we took 3rd at the Utah 5A State Championship. In that race I took 28 with a time of 16:18. My PR was at NXR Southwest where I took 47th place with a 15:43. During my junior track season I ran the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m. At the State Championships I ran the 800 leg of Lehi's Medley Relay and helped break the school record, we finished 6th with a time of 3:35.97. In my senior track season I qualified for state, and the Arcadia Invitational in the 3200m. I finished the season with a PR in the 1600m as a 4:24.8, and a 9:32.58 in the 3200m. I have also competed in the AF Canyon half marathon placing 7th with a time of 1:16:55. Short-Term Running Goals: I would like to get my 5k time closer to 15:00 maybe even sub 15:00, and an 8k around 25:00. Long-Term Running Goals: I would mostly like to keep on improving. I would like to run at least one marathon, and race a triathalon. Personal: I ran for Lehi High School. I was the distance team captain for the track team. I'm eighteen years old. | Early morning run today, we met at 6:00 AM to try and beat the heat, we went on a distance run around a nearby golf course with an average pace of 7:15, so it was a nice easy run, afterwards we did a short ab workout and called it a day.

| Today we started with a 2 mile warmup, we then ran a 3 mile tempo run around the track staying around a 5:40 pace. After that we did 8x400s around the football field going a little faster than race pace. I felt good throughout the workout and was able to keep up with the group, I even paced the last mile of the 3 mile tempo run, although I might need to get a little better at maintaining a steady pace, I kinda flucuated a bit.

| First day running with new shoes, while they didn't feel bad I'm not going to say it was a totaly transformative experience. The workout was just an easy recovery run, we ended up going about a 7:42 average so it was nice and slow. Afterwards we did some strides and an ab workout

| Todays workout was a 2 mile warmup followed by 8x1000m on the grass followed by 6x200m also on the grass finishing with a mile cooldown. I got to try out my new flats on the workout today which was nice, they felt good but they are a little heavier than what I'm used to but other than that they were good. I felt pretty good during the 1000m, I never really got a good start but I was able to really open up and finish with the first group.

| Interesting day today, we went out on a long run, 11 miles at a 7:11 average pace, so it was a nice easy run, I felt pretty good throughout the run. Afterwards we took an ice bath and got breakfast, during which I blacked out several times... we think that it was a combination of not eating, taking a cold ice bath, and standing in a cold dining hall. It was a whole ordeal and kinda just an embarasing situation. I feel fine now but when it happened my blood pressure was pretty low (75/30) but now its back up to a more normal levels. Anyhow that was my excitement for the weekend and I'm hoping that it doesn't happen again.
