Had an evening race at the University of Southern Florida today, I'm not the biggest fan of evening races because I still haven't figured out what the best thing for me to eat for lunch beofre a race is. Needless to say my stomach wasn't really feeling the race and the entire thing felt sluggish, throw in the fact that my calf started to feel like it was on fire after the second mile, and I've got a combo for a bad race. I fell off of the lead pack almost immediatly and found myself struggling to maintain a decent position. Shout out to the random guy in a pink headband that I raced with the entire time, definitly helped me out a lot. This was the last meet before the ACC championships so I've got two weeks to get back into fighting shape if I want to finish the season with a good race.
