| Location: West Jordan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jan 16, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Highschool Champ Running Accomplishments: I have been apart of Lehi's Cross Country and Track teams for four years. I was a member of the varsity team when we took 3rd at the Utah 5A State Championship. In that race I took 28 with a time of 16:18. My PR was at NXR Southwest where I took 47th place with a 15:43. During my junior track season I ran the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m. At the State Championships I ran the 800 leg of Lehi's Medley Relay and helped break the school record, we finished 6th with a time of 3:35.97. In my senior track season I qualified for state, and the Arcadia Invitational in the 3200m. I finished the season with a PR in the 1600m as a 4:24.8, and a 9:32.58 in the 3200m. I have also competed in the AF Canyon half marathon placing 7th with a time of 1:16:55. Short-Term Running Goals: I would like to get my 5k time closer to 15:00 maybe even sub 15:00, and an 8k around 25:00. Long-Term Running Goals: I would mostly like to keep on improving. I would like to run at least one marathon, and race a triathalon. Personal: I ran for Lehi High School. I was the distance team captain for the track team. I'm eighteen years old. | Todays workout was 12x800m with the goal pace being between 2:30 and 2:35. Our first few were around 2:33, but then we dropped down to around 2:28 for the rest of them with our last one going all out and dropping to 2:24. I felt good and comfortable throughout the workout but about halfway through my ankle started to hurt, I saw the trainer about it and he stretched it out so hopefully this problem won't continuemuch longer.

| Weight workout today followed by a distance run, I had early morning class so I was unable to run with the rest of the team so I did the run on my own after class, I went fairly slow because my ankle was still bothering me from yesterday averaging around 8:24 a mile.

| Today was supposed to be a speed workout but after the warm up my ankle was giving me problems that it hurt to walk, so my coach had me run on the water treadmill instead. I was an incredably cool experience for like 5 minutes and then it just turns into any other experience on a treadmill except you are in the water. I ran for a good 40 minutes. I've been taking it easy today and will take it easy tomorrow so that I will be in good shape for Saturday.

| Today was another weight workout followed by what was supposed to be a distance run, but the trainer had me on the water treadmill for another day... aparently I have tendonitis in my ankle. So I've been taking it easy but we think that I should still be able to run on Saturday as long as I'm smart with the training tomorrow. I talked to my coach about goals for Saturday and he said that he thinks I could finish in the mid 25 minutes which seems like a lofty goal but it just might be achievable, we shall see if it happens.

| Easy premeet run today only 5 miles. We started off going down a little trail and taking a right at a fork, we then abruptly turned around after the trail ended at a house with dogs that were about to come after us. So we decided to take the left fork, only to find out that during the day a lake magically appeared in the middle of the trail, so we just turned back around and ran on the road only to get hit by a torrential downpour that made it hard to even see... all in all it was an interesting workout

| Ran at the Mountain Dew Invitational hosted by the University of Florida today. It was my first 8k so I didn't quite know what to expect and it hurt a lot more that I thought it would. It didn't help that my calves were still super tight and it had rained a lot the night before which soaked the course. It was super tiring and I ran out of juice around the 4th mile but I still managed to finish 3rd on the team and 43 overall with a time of 27:46.25 which isn't terrible for a first time running a 8k, but I think I could have done better if I had just stuck with the lead pack for a couple miles. On the plus side I now know what to expect for the next one
