| Location: West Jordan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jan 16, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Highschool Champ Running Accomplishments: I have been apart of Lehi's Cross Country and Track teams for four years. I was a member of the varsity team when we took 3rd at the Utah 5A State Championship. In that race I took 28 with a time of 16:18. My PR was at NXR Southwest where I took 47th place with a 15:43. During my junior track season I ran the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m. At the State Championships I ran the 800 leg of Lehi's Medley Relay and helped break the school record, we finished 6th with a time of 3:35.97. In my senior track season I qualified for state, and the Arcadia Invitational in the 3200m. I finished the season with a PR in the 1600m as a 4:24.8, and a 9:32.58 in the 3200m. I have also competed in the AF Canyon half marathon placing 7th with a time of 1:16:55. Short-Term Running Goals: I would like to get my 5k time closer to 15:00 maybe even sub 15:00, and an 8k around 25:00. Long-Term Running Goals: I would mostly like to keep on improving. I would like to run at least one marathon, and race a triathalon. Personal: I ran for Lehi High School. I was the distance team captain for the track team. I'm eighteen years old. | Interesting day today. The workout was supposed to be a hard mile followed by 16x400m and finished up by another hard mile. I got through the mile and 7 of the 400s before my calf tightened up to the point where it hurt to walk and my coach told me to call it a day. When I visited the trainer he told me that my form is what is causing my calf to hurt so much since I'm running on my toes a lot, which means I have to go back to square one on my form and try to get off of my toes...

| Short speed workout today it was 12x 300m with a 100m walk/jog recovery. I made it through 8 of them before my coach pulled me out due to my calf tightening up. Later in the afternoon I ran a 30 min session on the water treadmill to work on my form.

| Today we drove to a nearby park to do 3x 3200m repeats at 5:35 pace. I made it through the first one with out any difficulty but halfway through the second one my calf started to hurt and around the 1.5 mile mark I hit a root wrong and wrecked my ankle... after I tried to do some hill repeats with the team but I only got a couple in before I started to feel it in my calf again. My calf is getting better but I still have a bit of a ways to go
