| Location: West Jordan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jan 16, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Highschool Champ Running Accomplishments: I have been apart of Lehi's Cross Country and Track teams for four years. I was a member of the varsity team when we took 3rd at the Utah 5A State Championship. In that race I took 28 with a time of 16:18. My PR was at NXR Southwest where I took 47th place with a 15:43. During my junior track season I ran the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m. At the State Championships I ran the 800 leg of Lehi's Medley Relay and helped break the school record, we finished 6th with a time of 3:35.97. In my senior track season I qualified for state, and the Arcadia Invitational in the 3200m. I finished the season with a PR in the 1600m as a 4:24.8, and a 9:32.58 in the 3200m. I have also competed in the AF Canyon half marathon placing 7th with a time of 1:16:55. Short-Term Running Goals: I would like to get my 5k time closer to 15:00 maybe even sub 15:00, and an 8k around 25:00. Long-Term Running Goals: I would mostly like to keep on improving. I would like to run at least one marathon, and race a triathalon. Personal: I ran for Lehi High School. I was the distance team captain for the track team. I'm eighteen years old. | Easy distance run today 10 miles at a 6:55ish average. My ankle hurt a little during the run, I need to make sure I ice it tonight.
After the run I did a weight workout consisting of bench press 3x10 reps 75lb and a fouth set of 15 reps 80lb, curls 3x10 at 30lb (15lb each arm), push press 3x10 50lb, butterfly press 3x10 50lb

| Had a mile time trial today, led the first three laps but couldn't keep it up on the final lap, finished with a 4:44 which I'm fairly happy with, not bad for the first mile of the season. I was still a little sore from my races the previous weekend. Also didn't help that I didn't have anybody to chase the first three laps, I tend to do better when I get to chase somebody.
Afterwards finished up the rest of my miles at a 8:00 mile average, a nice easy recovery pace.

| Had a speed workout today, it would have been easier if I had not eaten a decent sized pile of Tootsie Rolls right before, had some stomach problems during the run...
Speed Workout: 2x 1000m, 3x 800m, 4x 400m all at goal 2 mile pace, my splits were 3:08.78, 3:08.36, 2:32.64, 2:33.31, 2:31.63, 1:12.12, 1:11.11, 1:10.56, 1:13.93.
Afterwards we finished up our miles at a 7:15 mile average

| Had a hill workout today, the hill wasn't the steppest, it was just long with a slight incline. Consisted of 4 sets: 1x 200m, 1x 400m, 1x 200m up the hill at mile pace.
Afterwards we finished up our distance with around a 7:30ish mile average

Felt pretty good, but I had developed a couple large blisters on the bottom of my feet, had to drain them before I could finishe up the rest of my miles. Went at an easy pace of 7:10ish minute miles
