| Location: West Jordan,Ut,United States Member Since: Jan 16, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Highschool Champ Running Accomplishments: I have been apart of Lehi's Cross Country and Track teams for four years. I was a member of the varsity team when we took 3rd at the Utah 5A State Championship. In that race I took 28 with a time of 16:18. My PR was at NXR Southwest where I took 47th place with a 15:43. During my junior track season I ran the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m. At the State Championships I ran the 800 leg of Lehi's Medley Relay and helped break the school record, we finished 6th with a time of 3:35.97. In my senior track season I qualified for state, and the Arcadia Invitational in the 3200m. I finished the season with a PR in the 1600m as a 4:24.8, and a 9:32.58 in the 3200m. I have also competed in the AF Canyon half marathon placing 7th with a time of 1:16:55. Short-Term Running Goals: I would like to get my 5k time closer to 15:00 maybe even sub 15:00, and an 8k around 25:00. Long-Term Running Goals: I would mostly like to keep on improving. I would like to run at least one marathon, and race a triathalon. Personal: I ran for Lehi High School. I was the distance team captain for the track team. I'm eighteen years old. | Speed workout today, coach had me do something different than the rest of the team to help try and bring me back into good condition. My workout was 3x1600m with a goal pace of 5:40 to 5:45. I screwed up the pacing on the first set and ran the first three laps as if I was trying to hit a 4:45 pace, I realized my mistake the last lap and slowed my pace down a little. I came across the line at 5:13. After that my coach told me to aim for 5:30. My I was still a little fast on my second mile coming across at 5:21. My last mile was finally at the adjusted pace coming across at 5:31. Throughout the workout I felt good and didn't feel anything in my calf until the very end. All in all it was a good day.

| Morning weight workout followed by 30 minute on the water treadmill, the doctor I saw yesterday suggested mustard before a workout because it somehow helps with cramping so I've decided to experiment around with it... should be fun

| Easy 5 miles in the morning at 7:21 pace. I would have gone further but I could start to feel it in my calf. After I got back we did strides, hurdle mobility drills, and abs.

| Weight workout this morning followed by a 6 mile run a 6:57 pace. I think the mustard is helping a little since I didn't tighten up as bad as I usually do. My legs were still sore from the weights (we did a lot of squats) but I made it through the entire run.

| 11 mile distance run at a 7:05 average pace. A new trail opened up nearby called the Ludlum trail so we went to try it out. We got there in time for the "Grand opening ceremony". the trail was only 2.5 miles so the round trip would have been 5 miles but we added 3 miles around a park at the far end of the trail to bring the total to 8 and then we finished 3 more running back to the athletic center. It was a good run overall but my back started to hurt a little near the end.
